Day 2 - Arrival to the school Group Joao de Meira

 Good morning everyone!! 

Yesterday I arrived to the hotel very exhausted and I went directly to bed. Forgive me!

But now I'm very awake and, while everyone is still sleeping I've decided to tell you all we did yesterday.

It was an amazing day, full of surprises and marvellous things!

Students, teachers and I went to school. Don't think we are skipping it 😅 

Its name is Group Joao de Meira and students from there are between 10 to 18 years old. The school is huge. They've got more than one thousands students 😲 and they are very very nice.

But, let's start from the beginning! Our schedule was a little bit different from the one we have at your school in Benacazón.

This is:

7:30 a.m - Everyone get up!!!

8:10 a.m - Taking our delicious breakfast.

9:20 a.m - Arrival to the school

We entered in the school and we were received by students of the school and the music teacher who prepared some Spanish songs for us, one of them was 'Verano azul'. Do you know this serie? Students played those songs with recycling instruments. We really like it! They were fantastic!

9:30 a.m - Big surprise for St' Valentines

Then, it arrives the surprise of the day for St' Valentines!! Some students through balloons with beautiful and very nice messages to wish us love, friendship and good time in Guimaraes. Take a look at the pictures! We were very happy 😁

 

I also have time to make new friends. How I like to be hand by hand with such lovely people 😍

 

10:00 a.m Science in the laboratory

We started the science lesson in the laboratory. It was decorated with Spanish flags and there were a lot of children waiting for us. They explained us that we have to blow up a balloon not using our lungs air. Do you know how did we do it? Look at the pictures and guess the way. We used two main ingredients. Can you tell me their name?

11:00 a.m Science in class

Here students and I were seated in different places so we could speak with our new friends and do a new activity together. The question we had to debate and answer was 'What is the relationship between St' valentines and the shape of the heart?', 'Why is it represented like this?'

12:20 p.m Lunch time

I ate soup, salad, meat and rice. And I also took a banana for dessert. Soooo yummy!

13:30 p.m. Cohesion group activities 

We have the privilege to attend a class with the theatre teacher Sergio who made lesson more pleasant with some fun games.

14:30 p.m Cultural activities

We left the school and we went to the historical centre of Guimaraes with some students from the school and two other teachers.

We visited the Castelo the Guimaraes building in the X century by the order of Mumadona Queen. this 'Castelo' had the function of protecting all the habitants of the city. As well, we had visited the Palace of the duques of Braganza. This one was building in the XV century next to the castle. Lastly, we went across the historical centre through Santa Maria street, one of the main street which link the castle with the center of the city.
