Day 4 - At Science museum and farewell

Hii beloved friends!!

Today we woke up at 6:30 to have breakfast and it was so yummy. Then, we waited the bus to live a fantastic and exciting day.
We visited a science museum and started with a biology workshop. This one consisted of making decorations with wood. The room was full of huge machines which make things in wood, 3D figures, etc. It was great because we could also take our design with us. Do you like them?

After that, we experimented in every room of the museum, with robots and machines. There were three floors to visit and unlimited time. In the first floor there were some aircraft models and we could handle them. It looked like I was piloting one airplane. In the second floor there were some dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. Also there were some robots that we could move from the surface of mars. And in the last floor there were some machines about the air theory and some rooms to relax. This was the end of the experience in the science museum but the day hadn't finished yet.

After taking a walk around the village, we returned to school and began with the Music class.

As soon as we entered, we saw many recycled materials, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, straws, etc...

My friends and I started to see many recycled instruments, like guitars, flutes, and little drums. The music teacher (who was very kind, by the way) explained to us how we could use the materials to create our own recycled instruments, with some examples made by them.

They had many recycled color decorations that we could use to decorate the instruments.

At the end of the class, we tried our instruments while singing and dancing. I have to say that my instrument was the best sounding of them all, and I was also the best dancer, as no one can beat my waistline.

Then, they took me to a party where all my friends and teachers who accompanied us during these days
were. At the party, I was able to cook my own sausages and potatoes on a bonfire, and I also got to taste some cupcakes and homemade sweets that were delicious. My friends taught me how to dance and I learned many choreographies, while my friends taught me how to play football.

Afterwards, I gave a gift to the people who helped us in this great adventure, which was a bag with a notebook, a button, a pen, etc. When I least expected it, I also received a gift bag with a mug, a magnet, a pen, and a keychain.

Now came the hardest part for us, the farewell. We gave each other many hugs, handshakes, and a girl named Kamila gave me a handmade bracelet that I loved. I would have loved to stay for another week but we must go.

Tomorrow we will have a looong jorney to go back to what is now my home so it time for me to say good bye to the last travel of the school year.

See you at the school!!

Lot of kisses and hugs,

Mr Water.

Day 3 - Meeting with the gobernor, classes and cultural visit in Rzeszów

Cześć!!!

Here I am again! Today I've got many things to tell you. But let's start from the beginning...

The first visit of today was a meeting with some very important for the village. THE GOBERNOR!!! He runs out 8 villages near by the school, including the one where school is.
He has been very kind and friendly with us talking and asking some questions. He has even presented us some souvenirs from the village and looooot of loooot of sweets. You know, chocolate is my favourite!! 😋🍫

And.... this didn't end here! When we arrived at school there were a fair of Polish cuisine and cakes. Pastries such as cookies, muffins, cakes, and donuts were sold. The purpose of raising funds for charitable actions. I was able to grab a few mmmmm, they were delicious, but let's keep it between us eee. Look how good they looks like.

The pastries were made by schoolmates, who then used their own money to buy the homemade sweets. The classmates who sold them treated us very well.
Also Amelia and another student from the school, who have accompanied us all the morning to help us with the lessons.

The first class we went was art and we draw a beautiful and cool draws. Me and my collages drew some trees with recicles material and they turned out very well. What do you think?

Later we went to the school library to do some origami figures. We did the origami figures with color papers and we finished and decorated with markers. I've loved it! We did paper cranes, bookmarks and paper shark.

Another thing my classmates did was to present their experiments with water and an infographic about saving water. But I have to say, I would have done it better, ha ha ha. The classmates who conducted the experiments did a great job, and they were very interesting. Some classmates from Poland also participated in the experiments and I must say that the infographic was great and very interesting. It will surely be useful for saving more water and energy here.

To finish our day at school, we went out to the sports courts and had a competition with the children from Poland. Even the teacher participated in the “SOGA-TIRA”, and it was very hard to beat them, but we finally did it, hahaha. We also competed in sack races, jumping contests, and finished with a soccer match. We faced a really good team; they looked like the NATIONAL POLISH TEAM, hahaha. Luckily, we had some fantastic cheerleaders.

I've really enjoyed every class that we did today.

But we didn't finish there. Later on, we visited an underground museum about the history of Rzeszów. I was a bit scared because the tunnels were super long. Another very interesting thing was that I could touch the statue of the frog that gave the city its name. Luckily, a very nice girl explained everything to us very well, in English of course. There were also many interactive screens and even a cinema with vibrating seats, which was a lot of fun. Two teachers from school and two friends named Klaudia and Kamila accompanied us.

After the museum visit, I went for a walk through the streets of this beautiful city, getting to know different historical monuments. Finally, we were taken to a square with music and water fountains. I couldn't believe what I was seeing; my whole family was there. There were water droplets everywhere.

Without a doubt, a wonderful day!
😁

Talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight! 👋💤

Day 2 - At Szkoła Podstawowa

Today we've learned a lot of things typical from Poland.

We woke up at 6:45 a.m. and then we had breakfast in the hotel.

At 8:20 a.m we went to school by bus. When we entered in the school the teachers had prepared a welcoming and gifted us a present. We love it!!

Later, we walked around the school to know their classes and how they work. We were very well accompanied by Victoria and Cooper, two amazing students from here.

We have attended a robotics class, where they taught us how to control robots using tablets. They were impressive, as we could manage them with controls from the tablet. Additionally, they could change color based on the program we set up and reproduce interesting sounds like human and animal emotions.

We worked in small groups with the goal of reaching all the marked points with images of famous places like the Eiffel Tower or the Sydney Opera House. At the end, we combined the boards-carpets and played in a large group. And I have to tell you a gossip. One of the robots gave me a sweet kiss.😍🙈

Our classmates Cooper and Viktoria explained everything to us very well with clear instructions. We had a great time! We even wanted to take them home with us!

Next, our collages Carla, Bruno and Jerónimo had presented some infographics about how to save water and energy.

We also went to the canteen to have lunch and try typical meals from Poland. They were yummy!!!😋

After that, we went out to visit the castle of Zamek. with Barbara, the second grade teacher. She is very nice! We've seen all the rooms of the castle and listened about their history and the people who used to live there. All explanations were given in English so it was a bit difficult for the kids to understand. Hopefully for them, I speak English very well so I could translate them some facts. The most interesting thing, at least for me, was that each room was represented by different colors and styles.

Outside the castle, we stumbled upon the old stables that belonged to the castle and also saw the current stables. Another exhibition we've viewed in the stables was a room where I counted 64 animal heads on the wall, including four preserved animal bodies (I confess it scared me a little bit). In that exposition, almost all the vintage carriages were on display.
As we were leaving to go to the castle garden, we came across a huge tree and took a photo around it, holding hands. Finally, we visited the garden and noticed that here live a lot of little drops of water like me maintaining green areas very clean, fresh and beautiful. That could be because of the good and cold weather here.

And finally, we have finished the day walking around the city center, painting, playing the piano and... singing our favorite song... It´s a crazy time!

The day has been very interesting and amazing. We are very tired and we need to sleep... ZZZZ! Bye Bye!

¡Lo bueno llega a su fin!

Terminamos el curso con los resultados del proyecto ApS que ha abarcado todo el año escolar,. De esta forma, el alumnado de todo el centro...
